Hey all, my first night with my new Macbook was last night! All is great so far, just one questions though. When I was in the bed las night, the apple logo was so darn bright in the bedroom it woke the wife up once! Can I turn that sucker down a little for night time use, or should I position the pillow to cover the back up?

Thanks all, love my new MB, sooooo great!

The apple is lit by the screen's backlight. So the only way to dim the Apple logo is to dim the screen, I'm afraid.

And congrats on the new MacBook. :)

That light is basically the backlight of the LCD allowed to leak out the back. The brightness will be based on how bright your LCD is set at the time. If this is an issue I recommend some low adhesive dark colored painter's tape or something to cover the logo.

Only by putting the computer to sleep or turning down the backlight on your display. The logo get's it's light from the display backlight so will mirror the brightness of your main display.
