Anyway to get free version of Yahoo mail to work on Mail?

Hey guys. Gmail accounts have no problem being set up on Mail. But yahoo accounts have to be upgraded to use other mail clients. Anyway to get around this?

Nope. That's Yahoo's decision, they need to offer either POP or IMAP access, and they've chosen not to for the free accounts so far. It's one of the reasons I no longer use my Yahoo accounts.

I have a Yahoo in mail

I go online with Verizon wireless broadband. They do not offer a mail program like Cable or DSL. So their tech support set it up for me. The problem with this setup is that the same mail comes to me through mail on my mac and also through Yahoo on the web. So I have to keep up with this yahoo address in two locations.

The only reason I did it was because without an account in Mail I could not click on "contact us" links to send an email inquiry to someone off their web page.

I am curious if your gmail account works the same way? The same mail in two locations?
