Anyway to recover data within an app now?

So I decided to hit update on my iphone 4s last night thinking everything will be fine...... wrong


while updating to ios8 the phone hangs at the apple logo with the progress bar starting at zero and going to about 1/4 the way and then hangs.......

most solutions say that you can only restore via dfu mode in itunes but that means a complete clean and wipe of the phone..... i dont want this


I have one app on the phone that has data within it...... i need to find a way to recover the data within that app.....


anyway to fix this?

Can I recover data saved within an app while the phone is stuck loading the ios8 update?

You can try to use firmware umbrella to exit recovery mode, but it that doesn't work then you may be stuck.
