Is there anyway I can strip a youtube video of it's audio only so I can play it as an MP3 on my mini?
 
Yup, there a dead simple way to do it, and I use it all the time:

Get the YouTube file first.
Then use ffmpeg, a command line mpeg tool. Your command should look like this:

ffmpeg -i YouTube.flv YouTube.mp3

That's it, you are done!
