My other half has bought me a Ipad Air for my birthday from Ebay and its brand new and cellular, seller seemed unsure it was unlocked as it was a gift? Is there anyway I can find out if its unlocked?

Step 1: Turn it on
Step 2: Settings->General->Reset->Erase All Content and Settings

If you can do both of those and it restarts with the 'Welcome' screen it is not 'locked'.

...seller seemed unsure it was unlocked as it was a gift?
HUGE RED FLAG!

HUGE RED FLAG!

I know I know! thanks for your replies. To be fair the ebay seller doesnt usually sell tech, and she says she was selling on behalf of her daughter.

She says her daughter has confirmed its unlocked and well if its not I will be getting a refund via paypal as we her reply stating it is unlocked.

If it is unlocked its a bargain! got the 16gb Cellular version brand new for £290, lets just hope its legit.
