AOC Display Color Problem

I recently hooked up my AOC 2436 monitor to my MacBook Pro and I'm having one hell of a time getting the color right. No matter what profile I change it to in settings, what I set the contrast or brightness to, it looks terrible.

Can anyone tell me how to balance the color out? Going back and forth between the two screens is driving me crazy. I've tried calibration with no luck.

On another note, does anyone know if it's possible to use VGA and HDMI at the same time with this monitor? I want to leave my computer hooked up to it and switch to my PS3, but I don't want to go through the hassle of moving my PS3 if there's no way to switch between them.
