Is this possible? eg AOD Big digital clock face for glancing at an angle (deteriorating eyesight) and a face with complications on raise.

Not possible, when you choose a watch face that's what you get until you choose a different one
I wish this was possible. I’d set an analog face for the sleep mode and an info modular for wrist raise.
That's an interesting idea. I'd submit feedback to Apple asking for it.
FYI, I enabled Taptic Time, which lets me find out the time without me looking at the watch. Great for discreet time checks.
