Hmm. Just watching TV and saw a commercial for AOL's last ditch effort, AOL for Broadband. During the commercial I hear the mac sound "glass" ding, and I say to myself "hmm, that sounds awfully familiar." Then, I hear it again.

Um, did AOL really have to use the exact sound that is integrated in Mac OSX? Is there any type of copyright on that sort of thing (I'm sure M$ has copyrights on it's sounds, etc).

Check out the commercial. It's pretty cheap of them.

i think that it may sound the same, but be slightly different. also i think it might not be possible to copyright something like that. but you are right, AOL sucks, a lot.
