In Bagram, Afghanistan, I'm attempting to connect to the wireless internet, then connect the Macbook Air to the Airport Express via USB->Eth cable, then connect to the iPod Touch via either the Airport Express or the MB Air's 802.11g or maybe Bluetooth? Here's the requirements:
Normally, the internet is connected by joining the unsecured wireless hub, then connecting to internet via PPoE, via the wireless. That works fine, but I'm trying to connect the Airport Express to the MB Air using the USB->Eth cable, then connect to the iPod Touch so I can get internet (with the Touch).
The problem is, I have one 802.11g connection on the Air, and one on the Express. Oddly enough, the Airport Utility seems to need the wireless connection to set up the AP Express. In any case, I've tried getting the internet connected on the MB Air, then sharing that connection to the AP Express, but it doesn't seem to work. Can this be done? Maybe I'm not explaining the problem too well...
<edit> Oh, also, I'm attempting to connect an external hard drive to the AP Express, and am not seeing any option for connecting it. I only see the printer tab.
