APC BACK UPS 1500 XS ok to use with MacPro? (Stepped Sine Wave output)

Hi,

I was wondering if a UPS with a stepped Sine wave output and not a pure sine wave output would possibly shorten the life of my MacPro?

I have been considering an APC BACK UPS XS 1500VA but the I realized that it had stepped and not pure sine wave output.

Does this really make any difference or is it much ado about nothing?

You should just plug it in and use it!

Stepped attenuation is common, as it is cheaper to build.
It will be fine, so don't worry about it.
