I have a question relating to the IGMP Snooping option in the Airport App for the 2013 Time capsule and AirPort Extreme.
My 2013 Time Capsule is running 7.7.2 (current everything). My AirPort Utility app is 6.3.2 (current).
The AirPort utility has an option of enabling IGMP Snooping in the Network Options of the Network tab.
From my googling efforts it seems like a beneficial option to click and assists in a more efficient network (traffic wise). I could be way off on that.
Is this true or can someone please explain the pros/cons of this option.
My TC is the primary router running the full suite of options (NAT/DHCP) and directly connected to a fibre internet link (100/40) with internet connected using DHCP. I have a 2010 APE and two 2011 Expresses running off the TC as extenders. All are connected via gigabit cabling.
