Hi,

I bought Aperture about 9 months ago (1.5) and can't remember if mine is the student version. It doesn't say so on the box, but just in case I used my ID, anybody know what the part numbers for 1.5 were for students and for the regular version?

The label on my box says MA715Z/A and below that "Aperture 1.5 Retail"

Anybody know for sure as I don't want to buy the upgrade if it won't work.

Are you sure there is a "student version"? I thought it was the same application just a reduced price.

When you select BUY from the opening of the trial version, it takes you to a page that talks a lot on all four choices about the EDU version not being eligible.

The academic version is

APERTURE 1.5 ACADEMIC-INT
MA716Z/A

Does the regular version have a different "model number"? And is this model number embedded on the software DVD? If so, it is a simple check during the upgrade process.

Yes, mind is MA715Z/A and says "APERTURE 1.5 RETAIL" below the part number on the sticker on the bottom of the box.
