I currently have a new iMac 27" i7 with 8 gigs of memory.
Working with Canon 5D MK II full RAW files (about 1200 images) the images load incredibly slow when going from one image to another. It takes 5-7 seconds for each image to load.

This doesn't happen to my 3 year old Mac Pro.

Anyone know if I have a setting in Aperture that slows it down?

Thanks!

How new is the iMac? Is Faces still processing?? If so, that could kill your performance until it has finished. Otherwise, I'd try deleting the items in the following folders.

Hard Drive/Library/Caches
Hard Drive/System/Library/Caches
Hard Drive/Users/(Your user)/Library/Caches

You'll need to authenticate to remove these files.

That seemed to solve the problem. Thanks!

Love the new iMac as it seems fsater than my 3 year old Mac Pro.
