I've noticed while processing some RAWs that there's a discrepancy with presets which removes some of their usefullness.
I created a preset which does Auto Exposure and Auto Curves to give a base point for processing each picture. I apply this to each image by alt clicking the preset in the preset dropdown, which replaces all previous adjustments with the preset ones. This appears to work in that it does adjust both exposure and curves rather well. However, if I then click on Auto Curves afterwards, it often makes another visible change to the image, so must be processing Auto Curves differently to what it did when in the preset. I thought the point of presets was that applying groups of changes gave you the same result as applying them manually and individually, but clearly this isn't the case.
Something else which is a bit counter-intuitive is that replacing all adjustments with a preset doesn't replace all of them. It removes retouching for example, but leaves straightening in place.
The final inconsistency is that while you can select a group of images and "reset all adjustments" by right clicking, it would be nice to be able to apply presets using the same method, but you can't.
I've also noticed that I can edit away with Canon RAWs for hours, but with Nikon RAWs it crashes every few minutes, often while trying to display the mini-preview in the preset selection.
