Hi, How the heck do I get Aperture to see my Watermark files with transparent backgrounds? When I use the embedded watermarking in export, it makes the background white.

What can I do?

Should I just abandon Aperture, and use another application to watermark my photos? If so, what application should I use?

Thanks!

What exact image format are you saving the watermark images as. If it's multilayered I'd try flattening it to a single layer. Aperture can definitely do this but I've seen others report issues with some images.
