Aperture - best way to transfer photos from Macbook to iMac?

Help? I have about a thousand photos in Aperture on my MacBook and want to transfer them to Aperture on my iMac. I also have them in a vault on an external drive - is this way to do it, import the vault? Err, how do I do that exactly?

Problem solved: I opened the package contents of the vault and just dragged the photos in to Aperture.

Just move the library package that is in your Pictures folder, then in the iMac open Aperture and open that package. You shouldn't have problems with your vaults, if you do just redirect the path from Aperture and it should work.

As a precaution, make a manual back-up of this package.
