Aperture BorderFX deleting photos

I use the borderfx plugin for Aperture to add watermarks to some images I upload to the web.....but for some reason when I close aperture the new image borderfx creates and the original both get permanently deleted. They are no where to be found in the Aperture trash or Mac trash.

Any ideas what could be causing this??
