Hello Folks!

Recently i purchased a new Leica V-lux 4 that is a very good camera and for photography edition i feel more confortable working with aperture rather than adobe lighroom that is provided with the camera.
Unfortunately when importing some RAW pictures from the camera i've noticed that aperture overwrites some definitions previously choosed before i took the pictures. Per example, when adding some effects like toy camera, sepia or even monochromatic aperture eliminates that effects and restablish the picture as it was taken with "normal" settings.
Can anybody explain why is this happening?

Cheers

Are you shooting in RAW + JPEG?

These effects you are dong in camera are being applied to the JPEG, not the RAW file. Upon import, the RAW file will be seen as just that, the RAW, with no in camera effects. In general (maybe in all cameras?) in camera effects are only applied to JPEG files.
