Aperture corrupting my photos

I started using Aperture a couple of weeks ago to organize my photos. After adding keywords to a set of photos I had Aperture write the meta data to the master files so the keywords would stay with the photos. After doing that some of my photos became corrupt and would no longer load when I tried to view them. I am able to reproduce this problem every time. Has anyone else had this problem ?
