aperture, dual display, and browser

hi all -

i'm making a book in aperture and i'd like to be able to have my thumbnails on my second display while working on the layout of the book in the main display. it seems like a pretty simple thing and either i can't figure it out, or it won't work that way. the closest i have been able to come is to have the main viewer set to 3up and the secondary set as alternate. that only shows three at a time though.

by the way, i'm using aperture 2.1.4 on a 2008 dual macPro with 14gigs ram and SL 10.6.2.
