OK,

I am using aperture to output sets of photos onto webpages.

It works fine, but in order to see the pictures at a good resolution when you click on them you have to use the theme 'picture', which unfortunately has a default white background.

I just want a dark background, like the theme 'stock black', but unfortunately photos are not exported at a high resolution in 'stock black'.

I can't see any option to tweak the settings to allow a change of background on 'picture' or a means of upping the final outcome resolutions for 'stock black' - even when I select best quality output.

The only way to deal with this is perhaps editing the css file, although my fiddling so far has not resulted in any change with the the background colour.

Does anyone have any hints?

With that said I have found a very easy to use method to create web pages from just folders of pictures. I have been using a component from 'image capture' - that is used when you plug in a camera and want to create a webpage.

Basically if you go to volume> system> library> image capture> automatic tasks you will see 'build web page'. So I've been clicking on that, loading up folders with pics and then you get a nice web page generated, although there are built in perimeters for this too.

Ideally if I can get aperture to output a picture webpage with a dark background that will be fine, because I can then tweak each page to suit the number of photos etc. Although in the meantime, the 'build web page' seems a really simple and quick way to get good result.
