I have recently started to use Faces on Aperture 3 and found it to be a buggy mess. I really like the idea of Faces which makes me reluctant to turn it off in the preferences but I am now considering doing so. When I select one of my friends in Faces and click a photo it often vanishes so I have to go back into faces and start again. This is particularly frustrating if you are labelling the faces of a few people in one photo.

I have read that Faces can really slow down Aperture your machine but I have found that it is not too bad on my 15" 2011 MBP. My Aperture library is pretty big too at just under 100Gb. Its the bugginess of Faces that annoys me not how system hungry it is but I'm sure that could be improved too.

Does anyone else enjoy using Faces and has come across the same problems as me? The more I read the more often I hear of people turning the feature off.
