On the Apple Store (UK) site this is £173 for the full version and the upgrade is £81.

Can the full version be only £44.99 in the App Store?

Does anyone know what version the App Store one is? Upgrade or Full?

I don't want to pay £44.99 only to find out afterwards that it is the upgrade.

It's a full version but it's only licensed for personal use.

And the difference to the retail version is...?

The license of the boxed version allows me to install Aperture on one desktop machine and one notebook computer. The AppStore license allows me to install and use the software on all "personal" computers. And the last time that I looked, all of my machines were "personal" machines.

Okay, this probably makes a difference for business users where several people use the same computer. But as we all know, you hardly find Macs in businesses, so probably nobody will ever notice that difference in the licensing terms...
