Is it dangerous to have an aperture library greater than 1TB. My friend's wedding season is going beyond 1 TB.

In addition they have become very frustrated with Retrospect. It occasionally fails, and no-one understands it.

They would like to use Time machine to back up the external - to another external. This has been working well with a smaller library on their iMac.

So they plan to buy two 2TB external drives (connected to their G5) One will hold the wedding season & the second will be used for Time Machine.
I'm concerned there is a single library going over 1TB.
Do you think this is problematic.
And is there a better way to manage it.
I would hate to see Time Machine (or retrospect) damage it
