Aperture now or wait for 2.0 ?

I've been playing around with the Aperture trial and I quite like it.

Out of curiosity I called Apple to see what the Student price would as i qualify for this. Its priced at £89 at the moment for students so I'm very tempted to get it but then I thought would it be better to wait for 2.0 - does anyone have any info on possible release dates for that???

No one has any idea when 2.0 will come out. If I had to guess, I'd say we won't see Aperture 2.0 until autumn, so don't hold your breath.

am glad I waited ! I'm going to get the 2.0 trial and then - assuming I like - get it with education discount.

...hopefully time capsule will have arrived by then and I'll get that too.

Well for those that use it let me know if it is great not good but a great app. I would like opinions on it.
