I am using Aperture for managing and correcting my Photo's. Initially these photos will be placed on my NAS (RAID 5 for security). When I started using Aperture I decided to choose the option 'Leave photos in current location'. This was because my NAS has RAID 5. Now I have found the drawback with this option. If I am not at home, I cannot edit these photos.
Until now I have found no other way to correct this 'problem' than to start importing all my photos over again. It is not the importing that keeps me from starting this action, but the cataloging of all these photos will be a hell of a job (again) and all my editing will be lost (even a greater problem).
Is there a way to correct this problem? What I would like to accomplish is that all the photos will reside on my macbook so I can edit them where ever I want and whenever I want, now these photos are 'offline'.
Thanks in advance,
Theo
