Aperture wont open subfolders

I have been having trouble opening sub folders while importing. You can see that it won't show any file contents. in the two screen captures that I added.

I am trying to import a library into my master library but can't do that because the file contents never show.

Have any ideas?

I have had trouble in a other applications as well but was not able to reproduce the problem in the applications.

Aperture version 3.4.4
