Aperture3 Help with libraries

Hi All,

I am trying to organise my wife's move to aperture from iphoto....

I have all of her library imported as managed files on her externalHD but now I want her to have a referenced version of that same library on her laptop...

I can't seem to work out how (or if) this is possible... there is no option to import files from the aperture library, only the library itself (which is managed and thus too big to fit on her laptop) and i cant seem to be able to export a referenced version of the library...

any help would be most welcome
