APFS & Veracrypt : "Write 340 error"

Hi,

Tried to format an APFS drive with Veracrypt. No luck as I get a "Write 340 Error" and had to erase the drive back to HFS to complete operation.

I'm not alone as Google found a few people with the same problem but not hint of a solution.

Running High Sierra, Fuse 3.8.2 and Veracrypt 1.22

Any ideas ?
