Has anyone had issues with the APFS. I changed my 2012 IMac to APFS and keep having issues of random freezes. I’m not sure if its the spinning hard drive that’s failing or if it is in fact because of the APFS. I changed it back to macOS extended but still wary that It may start freezing again.

APFS works quite poorly on regular hard drives. Performance is definitely targeted at SSDs, so I’d stay with HFS+ on a regular disk if at all possible.
