You know what I would love to see? I'd love to see some constructive ideas for API's that could be implemented in iOS to improve user experience. I don't want the typical "I want widgets!" or "I want space lasers!".

As an example, I would love to see an API added that would allow the likes of Dropbox's and Google+'s new photo upload features to know when a new photo or video has been taken so they can begin the upload without my having to open the app.

This API obviously exist as a private API since Photo Stream knows when a new photo or video has been added to the Camera Roll without my using the camera or photo app to do it. I can save an image there from Safari and off to Photo Stream it goes.

In other words, I wish this API was public.

What kinds of stuff would you add for apps?
