Apogee jam vs irig for GarageBand

With the apogee jam costing $99 and occupying the USB port, what do you guys think is a better option?
Would there be any less quality with the irig?
 
General consensus on this is that the iRig is great for practice, but that the in/out jack is way too noisy for serious recording. The Apogee is better quality sound, and a pretty reasonable price when compared to most of the other compatible digital options out there.
