I am considering purchasing a new car stereo. My major question is, would I be able to play audio from the Sirius/XM app through the USB interface into the radio? I know that many are capable of playing the stock iPod app through this interface, but I'm wary about buying one if I can't use my satellite radio subscription.

You should. I play the stock music app, Spotify, and Tune in Radio just fine.

Since you're getting a new car stereo, why not get the SiriusXM module for the radio as well. That way you have the SiriusXM information and control all from your new stereo.

I have a current subscription that's tied to a radio in another car. I'd rather not pay any additional money per month to add on a second radio, so if at all possible I want to listen through the app.
