My daughter and I each purchased Apple watches this week. She purchased the series 1 while I have the series 2. We each have the same app on our iPhone that tracks our dogs in the event they get out of our yard. On her list of compatible apps Whistle is shown but it does not show up on mine. Will some apps update to become compatible for the series 2 since it works on the series 1?

Apps are either 
Watch (S0,S1,S2) compatible or not. We will see some apps updated to take advantage of the S2 GPS but they will still be compatible with the S0 and S1. Not sure what your problem is but try the usual.
