I was told there were a couple programs for bibliography and footnotes/end notes?

any one know what it or they are?

I know they were kind of expensive,

thanks

Endnote is the standard in academia, but it has gotten incredibly bloated over the years. It works for all disciplines, but is more geared for the sciences and social sciences in the way it handles notes. If you are affiliated with a university, check to see if it is offered for less or even for free.

I've made the change to Zotero, which is open-source, free, and and runs as a Firefox plugin. I think it's a lot better than Endnote, and the price can't be beaten. Check it out at www.zotero.org.

I just started using Bibdesk and I'm not exactly impressed with its ability to handle my large collection of pdfs. In fact, it is rather labor intensive to set up... but perhaps I'm doing it wrong.
