shapeshifter could work i guess ( get a tiger skin)
but ive seen guys desktops where they have just a blackish/grey apple that blends so nicley with the text and kinda looks like the oooold apple II and such

any takers?

system prefs > appearance > then chose graphite from the appearence pull down. im guessing thats the grey/black you were looking for. i personally think it would be cool to have a dark green with black menu bar. . . matrix esk. . . any ideas on that?

edit. . . er like the shapshifter thing previously mentioned. sounds good, if i can find a theme i like. has anyone used that and knows it works well?

I use shapeshifter with the ProLCD Blue theme. It's pretty slick.

As for the darker apple, I agree with what wPod said, turning your appearance to graphite. I did it that way for the longest time, until I bought ShapeShifter.

yea i know graphite looks ALOT better
but this was ALL black - just like other menubar items (sorry shouldnt have thrown grey in the mix)
but ill do some more shapeshifter research aswell
