Hey guys. I'm a scientist and I'm frequently using Mathtype to enter math formulae and I use it also to translate these equations into LaTeX code that I can copy to my scientific manuscripts.

My question now: is there an app similar to mathtype but where you can "draw" the equations with your fingers on ipad and the app translates these drawings to electronic formulae like in mathtype or better yet, translate these formulae into LaTeX code.

Thanks for your help.

Hey there... what I do is to open this
http://webdemo.visionobjects.com/ <--choose the web equation tab
in a browser

It is by visionobjects, so the handwriting recognition technology for equations is the same as the one you see on Samsung tablets.

Hope this helps!
