Is anyone aware of a running/workout app that permits you to enter the total distance at the end of a treadmill or elliptical run? I don't find the AW particularly good at estimating this.

I also have a Coros running watch and at the end of each indoor run I'm able to enter the total distance. Coros uses what enter as the recorded distance and even recalculates splits. I'd like to find similar functionality when using my AW.

I assume your treadmill keeps track of the distance? I have a spin bike with an old school display for distance and such and I use the Health app to record/track my cycling distance. I’m not aware the fitness app lets you do that. And sorry, don’t know of another app

Yes, my treadmill and elliptical track distance, but I'd like to get that more accurately recorded in Apple's Fitness app.

If I don't use my Coros I now record it using Apple's Workout app, import it into RunGap, change the distance in RunGap, delete the original workout in Fitness, and then export the modified workout from RunGap to Workout. I'd like to just record the workout with the correct distance if possible.

are you saying that the distance as reported on your treadmill is different from the distance reported in an apple Watch Workout app ?
on the treadmills i use for either running or walking, the distance as reported on the treadmill and the watch's indoor running (treadmill icon) or indoor walking (treadmill icon) matches the distance my body is telling me i would have actually ran or walked, and correlates well with the other data that the treadmill shows (like METS and time and heartbeat).
for me, if its within 5% to 10% of an outdoors reality, i think thats pretty good. with the treadmills i use at two gyms, the watch is recording it very accurately.
