I'm mostly loving my Apple Watch now, but I do find apps frustrating. They can be so slow to load. And when they do, they don't always work as they should.

For example, I just installed the Overcast app. Here's how it's supposed to look:

Here's how it actually looked:

My point: the podcast icons are generic so I can't tell what's coming up next, completely defeating the point of the app.

Apple's big thing is that "it just works". Well, not so much with the Apple Watch.

Are you using Overcast 2.0.1? Overcast 2.0 broke the watch app. With 2.0.1 I get the information shown except I don't get the icons (I get generic ones like you). I'm not sure if this is an Apple problem or a developer problem. But even though the watch app works (mostly) in 2.0.1, it's still not a native watch app.

Overcast 2.0.1 uploaded today, but I'm not sure if that happened after I installed (and then deleted) Overcast from the watch. I'll give it another go, but from what you say, my hopes aren't high.

I don't really get how developers can release apps that don't work.
