App is Dark Mode Icon on iPad but not iPhone?

I’ve downloaded the app “Block Bear” - and it’s showing as a Dark Mode icon on my iPad Pro M5 running the latest iOS 26.2.

However, on my iPhone 17 Pro Max, also on the latest iOS 26.2 - it never shows the Dark Mode and is with a white background?

I’ve deleted, rebooted the phone, re-installed and it stays light mode?

Does anyone else have this issue or know a fix?

This is the only app I’ve ever had a problem with!

Does the app have the same, universal listing in the App Store for iPhone and iPad? Or are there variants of the app?

OK that's odd then. Unless maybe there's a config checkbox that the developer didn't set the same way for the iOS part of the app…
