App layout resetting after any app store download or update

Hi Guys,

I put this thread in the 'iPhone hacks' section because my iPhone 4 is jailbroken.

Every time i download or update an app from the app store, all my apps (9 pages worth) are removed from their folders and spread out over 9 pages. I used the 'reset default layout' option for the settings, but it still keeps happening only now thew first page always looks default afterward.


This is very frustrating for me as i keep having my app organization ruined daily.

Any help is appreciated.

Ive never had this issue until recently, so it must be something i did or a cydia package conflict?

Id rather fix the issue than use a work around.

Well Hell even I will admit that won't be hard to find, certainly never claimed to be the smartest!

Just curious - is this problem encountered with infiniDock sometimes? I just installed it today but so far all is working well... thanks

Yes, the reports have been with just a few app, not all of them, but it is a known bug, I had seen it myself a few times. (infiniFolder more than InfiniDock, but I've read people reporting it with dock too)

Interesting. Thanks for the info. I got carried away and have all my apps and folders now in my dock for some reason but so far it is working fine.
