App or method for sharing lists?

I'm looking for an app (preferably free and universal, but will be primarily used on an iPhone 4S) or a method to share lists with my girlfriend, who also uses an iPhone (4). Basically, this would be lists of movies to watch together, places to visit, etc., and we'd like to be able to tick each item off. Sort of like Clear, but with syncing on both phones.

Any recommendations?
