I have an heart failure which give me a increased chance of an heart attack when I rest or sleep.

I'm a healthy young man and if someone (like my wife) is going to get a defibrillator asap where will be a much higher chance to survive.

So I'm looking for a watch which can monitor my pulse and call a specific number if there isn't any.

Is this possible?

Regards,

Given the number of times that the watch loses my pulse when exercising, I'd be concerned about false alarms.

If your cardiologist shares your worry, have you spoken about an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator? My boss at a previous job had one, and it would monitor his heart and immediately deliver a shock if his heart stopped or went into a dangerous rhythm.

The watch only checks your pulse every 15 minutes or so, when you're not exercising. It's not continually monitoring. I don't think the Apple Watch is the right device for this.

Problem is for people with brugada syndrome is they struggle with sleeping, and as for one who sometimes sleeps alone (doing the day), it's no better. So I guess I'll be less concerned about false alarms, and maybe it would be possible to turn on/off.

My cardiologist do take it seriously, and he is an expert for this syndrome, which also means he don't think I should have an ICD for now. I don't agree 100 % when I read about Brugada.

As far as I know, there is no right devices other than an ICD. I tried check with watches for running and stuff. So I would be more safe anyways before sleep than nothing else. Even tho it would check pulse too late.
