Hi,
when someone buys an app from App Store for an iphone, what type of information is sent to the app sellers... do the app sellers get the name, address or phone number of the buyer associated with itunes or apple masks that kind of information from the app sellers...(if any info is sent, does it matter If the app was free or paid...)

I am somehow concerned that when we buy bunch of apps on daily basis from random people on the appstore our personal data is somehow spread around...can someone please clarify. Thanks a lot.

No information of any kind is sent to app sellers. Developers can tell how many copies were sold but that's it.

If the app supports push notifications then it has to "phone home" to the developer's push notification server, passing a device ID to uniquely identify the device. But that has zero personal information attached.
