I find myself in need of an alarm clock app for my iPad. There are lots with many mixed reviews. Which would you recommend and why?

Alarm Clock Radio Free.

Can change background color, can alert by music or sound. Have sleep function. Coolest thing is can listen to many Streaming Radio channel. I love it.

I've tried a few and the best to date is Lifelike Clock, even provides weather. Give it a shot, think you'll like it. It's the choice for both mine and wife's iPad.

So, for Alarm Clock programs to work..do they need to be the app running?
And if so, wouldn't the iPad run out of power running overnight for the clock?

i use alarm clock pro as well testing out this new Iron Man type alarm clock(alarm talks). Wakes & tells you weather reports & if your airline flight is delayed or canceled; pretty cool so far. Alarm clock pro though has always been reliable...
