I removed CleanMyMac after the latest OS update because that version would not run anymore on El Capitan. I moved the app to the trash. However, I still get a notification popup from the app telling me to clean my drive. How can I completely remove the app?

CleanMyMac recommends using its own uninstaller module to remove CleanMyMac

(That would mean reinstalling CleanMyMac just to run the uninstaller :D )

Another viewpoint here - http://kecodoc.com/how-to-remove-cleanmymac-3-completely/

CleanMyMac web site does say that version 3 is certainly compatible with El Capitan.
In fact version 3.2 released only a few days ago (19 November 2015)

I don't recommend that software at all, of course, but seems like it should work in El Capitan.

Thank you for that. I installed the version I had on my hard drive. I went to uninstall via the option in the app and it offered me v3.2 for 50% off, so I bought it. All is good now.
