anybody else have this problem, and what do I do to fix? Signing out and back in doesn’t work...

iPhone X App Store app not updating apps for 6 days on iPhone X 11.2.1

The App Store team is given the holidays off each year around this time. They'll resume operation on January 2nd. Hence why no updates are being approved and pushed to our devices.
Are there updates that you are not able to install or are you simply not seeing any updates?
This is because Starting on Dec. 22 through January 2, 2018, people who reviews those apps and approves it are on holiday, so you won't see any app updates between those dates.
Happens every year give or take a day or two depending on when the holidays fall (just before Xmas until after New Year’s Day). You’ll be flooded with updates soon enough
Like when I get into the app and do a search and it doesnt return anything all. A few days ago I remember distinctively only the "Today" button would return something and all other buttons just wouldn't return any results. Internet was fine and the phone was working fine otherwise.
And it happens from time to time, not a one time thing.
Next time I catch it happen I will report it here and see if it's just my phone or it happens to everyone at the same time.
PS, I think there was once a while ago even though I was not able to search for new apps I was able to do updates on already purchased apps.
A few are starting to come through here and there as some developers are working here and there and Apple is getting back to reviewing and approving things.
ProCamera today was the first update I have seen in a while. I assumed they were not going to do any updates in case of issues over the holiday period.
I refreshed my App Store update today and looks like I got 2 new updates today. So clearly they do work.
