Anyone get these messages despite having a perfect connection? Is this because the app store is simply overwhelmed due to the iPad launch? I've never owned an iPad before so I'm not sure if this is normal or not.

I had the same problem, I changed my apple id password and that fixed it.

I know, but it worked. I googled the error and found a few people who had the same problem and that was the suggested fix.

Every now and then this will happen, as well as not being able to update apps from time to time.

I usually just wait a minute and try again and it connects, this isn't just iPad it happens on my home commuter as well.

Resetting password did not work for me. I think it's probably a coincidence if changing your password actually works, unless Apple's programmers have some seriously weird conventions.
