App Store Downloads Slow?

Is anybody else encountering slow download speeds? I'm getting Speedtest results of 18-22mbps but it just took me like a minute to download an 8MB app.

This is over wireless direct from the iPad, haven't tested downloading from my PC which is wired.

Yes its very slow..

I'm in Houston, TX and I have not been able to get even the simplest of apps to download and install. For instance, I'm trying to download "adobe ideas" for my ipad2, and nothing else is in the queue and it hasn't changed state in ten minutes.

Now my level of proficiency, i'm a novice ipad DEVELOPER!
Owned ipads since three months after the release of the ipad1,
I've got AT&T DSL line (note it just now asked me for my password to install apps), i get 6mbps downroute. I picked DSL cause Cable has failed me in past.
"which'd rather have all the data rate half the time or half the data rate all the time", this shouldn't be happening on DSL, so its not the DSL, I even ran speedtests on several local servers.

By the way how I found your message was by doing a google search with "24 hour" filter.
