App Store & Enigmo/Monkeyball updates problem?

anyone else experiencing this?

I've bought and installed Enigmo and Monkeyball applications. Both apps have an update avail. on the App Store, yet when I try to download and install, I get the message "The item is currently being modified. Please try again later."

This has been the case for a least a week straight. I'm simply trying to get rid of the no.2 hovering over my App Store icon...and ideas/feedback?
